The Castle Lodge Felixstowe Hotel was built in the Edwardian era and is situated a few yards from Felixstowe's much admired Spa gardens giving its bedrooms a splendid sea-view. Built in the 1920s the hotel is a four star guest accommodation which has been awarded a coveted silver award for its high quality by the English Tourist Board.
The Castle Lodge Hotel has been run by the same owners for the past 23 years and guests return year after year because of the superior and comfortable accommodation and the high quality of cuisine they know the Hotel has to offer.
There are many original features for guests to appreciate within the hotel, such as, a beautiful stained glass window in the hall, the elegant residents lounge where guests can relax and unwind, perhaps with a pre dinner drink and in winter the marble fireplace is a feature and a welcoming sight with its cosy coal fire on a cold winters day.

The pleasantly appointed accommodation in Felixstowe, Suffolk, provides spacious bedrooms, some with sea views and most offering en-suite facilities, television, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary tea tray. There is a choice of double, twin and family bedroom's available, also a ground floor bedroom, suitable for the less ambulant guest, which has access to the south-facing garden where guests can be provided with garden chairs to enjoy the Felixstowe sea air. Children can be provided with a cot and high chair.
The dining room offers individual tables with a choice of Full English or Continental breakfast, ideal for long stays or just bed and breakfast in Felixstowe. A vegetarian menu is also available. Evening meals are provided between June and September. The home-cooked food uses all ingredients locally sourced, meat from the local butcher, local green-grocer and free-range eggs all fleshly delivered each week. There is a choice of menu including vegetarian dishes and special diets such as low-fat, gluten free and diabetic are catered for by prior arrangement.
The Castle Lodge hotel is licensed with a small selection of beers, wines and spirits to be enjoyed with a meal. Packed lunches can be provided on request.
The Castle Lodge hotel provides the closest accommodation to Felixstowe's Spa Pavillion theatre and the Felixstowe Lawn Tennis club. The Hotel is Only a 5 minute walk to the shops and Felixstowe town centre and 30 yards to the Cliff gardens. Walkers and cyclists are welcome and an outhouse provides secure accommodation for bicycles and motorised scooters. There is a small car park for guest use at the rear of the hotel.
